What is Passages NFT?

Passages NFT is a collection of 800 works of AI art living on the Ethereum blockchain. Each NFT is a passage from an author, playwright, or poet fed to a text-to-image neural network that produces beautiful digital paintings inspired by the impressionist movement. Passages NFT features 1/1 pieces from over 40 different writers. The writers we chose to include in this collection represent a diverse background, from feminism to fantasy and nearly everything in between. The Passages collection is a corner of the internet where art, AI, and literature fuse to create magic.

Who is behind Passages NFT?

Passages NFT is the brainchild of Ellaria, a Data Scientist turned AI artist with nearly a decade of experience at companies like Amazon, JPMorgan Chase, and IBM. Smart contract and website development was done in partnership with Renna Labs.

When is launch?

We will launch in late June, 2022. The exact time will be announced on our official twitter. There are a total of 800 Passages. 5 have been reserved for the team, but the remaining 795 will be available during the mint. Each Passage will be FREE + gas. There will be a 5 NFT maximum per transaction, but no limit per wallet address. There will be no whitelist for our mint, the entire mint will be open to the public.

When is reveal?

The artwork, author, and quote for each NFT will be revealed 24-48 hours after the public mints begins.

How do I purchase?

New to NFTs? No worries, here are some steps on what you need to do to get your Passage.

1. Download the metamask.io extension for the Chrome/Brave browser or app on mobile. This will allow you to make purchases with Ethereum and can be found in the extensions tab. If you are on mobile, you must use the Metamask App Browser

2. You can purchase Ethereum through the Metamask Wallet or Send Ethereum from an exchange like Coinbase.

3. Click on Connect when you are on the mint page and connect your Metamask. Once joined, you will be able to purchase the NFTs on the mint page. You will be prompted to sign your transaction. FYI, there will be a fee associated with every transaction related to gas prices.

4. Once you have made your purchase, your Passages NFT will be viewable in your wallet and on Opensea.

About the Founder

Hello there! My name is Ellaria, I am the founder & artist behind Passages NFT. I am a senior Data Scientist with nearly 10 years of experience, working at companies like Amazon, JPMorgan Chase, and IBM. My career has always revolved around my love of working with artificial intelligence (AI) which in the last half decade I've combined with my two greatest hobbies: art and literature. The result was my greatest achievement yet: a Vector Quantized Generative Adversarial Network and Contrastive Language–Image Pre-training (VQGAN+CLIP) algorithm which takes words and creates pictures based on trained data sets. My algorithm has been trained on the art of dozens of well known impressionist artists and I've become obsessed with inputting my favorite phrases and quotes into the program and enjoying the output. The result has been astonishing and I've created Passages NFT to share my passion with the NFT community.
